Order and Bishop’s Letter for the Institute

After months of dedicated work on the conservation and restoration of the icon “St. Prophet Daniel and St. Apostle and Evangelist Mark” by Đuro Jakšić, the team of conservators of the Institute with the acting director set off today, June 13, 2025, for Kragujevac to return this valuable work from our conservation workshop home - to the Metropolis of Šumadija.

At the Bishop's Palace, the acting director, Dr. Vladimir Kubet, Archbishop of Kragujevac and Metropolitan of Šumadija, was awarded the Order of the Great Martyrs of Kragujevac, first degree, in recognition of his great love for his holy church.

The team of conservators and restorers was awarded, on the same occasion, with a Hierarchal Certificate of Recognition for the virtue of zeal in caring for the Church of God.
