Meeting in the Diocese of Timisoara
A meeting was held in the palace of the Diocese of Timisoara between the staff of the Provincial Institute and the clergy. The meeting discussed the current and future work on the renovation of the iconostasis of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Čakovo. Starting from the fact that there is a mutual desire and need for cooperation in the preservation, nurturing and restoration of cultural property of exceptional importance, the idea was born to realize an exhibition as part of the program marking the 75th anniversary of the Provincial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, which will be organized next year. The meeting was attended by, in addition to Acting Director Dr. Vladimir Kubet, Dragana Jelić, Maja Velicković, Marija Erdelji, Jovan Ćeranic, Petar Topić and Miloš Vujaklija. After the meeting, the team toured possible spaces for the exhibition, as well as the current phase of work in the Serbian Orthodox Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Čakovo.
