Meeting in Srpski Kovin

Hungary, the island of Čepel, the largest island on the Danube, a place of hope and salvation for many Serbs who found refuge there, fleeing from the Turks.

Gathering at the Serbian Kovin Monastery, the oldest Serbian shrine in Hungary, and the celebration of the monastery's feast of the Assumption of the Most Holy Theotokos.

Part of the staff of the Provincial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments Petrovaradin, at the invitation of the monastery brotherhood and abbot, Archimandrite Metodije Marković, attended yesterday the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy served by His Eminence, Metropolitan of Buda, Mr. Lukian, with the concelebration of the clergy and monks. The liturgy was followed by the consecration of the Slava gifts, the Slava table of love and a cultural and artistic program.

It was a special honor for us.
