Meeting between Metropolitan Photius and the Director of the Provincial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments
In Bijeljina, on October 22, His Eminence Metropolitan of Zvornik-Tuzla, Mr. Fotij, hosted the acting director of the Provincial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments Petrovaradin, Siniša Zeković, a painter-conservator, at a working meeting. Maja Velickovic, the Institute's painter-conservator, also attended the meeting and participated in the agreements. During the meeting, the continuation of joint activities to preserve and protect the rich spiritual, cultural and historical heritage of the Diocese of Zvornik-Tuzla was discussed. Special emphasis was placed on the planned conservation and restoration works on the precious icons kept in the depot of the diocesan treasury. In a cordial conversation, the high level of successful cooperation to date was confirmed and concrete steps were agreed upon for the next phase of the restoration of church exhibits.
