Restoration of the monumental heritage of the municipality of Bački Petrovac

Today, a meeting was held in the Municipality of Bački Petrovac, attended by the Mayor of the Municipality, Viera Krstovski, with her associates, the acting director of the Provincial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, Dr. Vladimir Kubet, Katarina Dobrić, art historian, and Rastko Vlajković, architect-conservator.

The topics discussed were related to improving mutual cooperation in activities for the protection and preservation of monumental heritage in settlements on the territory of the municipality of Bački Petrovac. Opinions were exchanged regarding ongoing projects, which relate to the rehabilitation of the castle and the entire museum complex in Kulpin and the maintenance of the 18th century Homestead House, the only cultural monument of exceptional importance in Bački Petrovac.

Joint participation in the preparation of tender documentation for the renovation of monuments dedicated to fallen soldiers from World War II in the town center and at the old Petrovac cemetery was agreed. Also, an expert team from the Provincial Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments conducted a field visit and inspected the condition of the property in question.
