Kamenniki Gospels

During March and April 2025, as part of the renovation of the interior and exterior of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Sremska Kamenica, conservation and restoration works were carried out on the mural above the western portal. The mural depicting the Annunciation is the work of an unknown author. The main conservation problem included the rehabilitation of the wall surface, consolidation, injection of undercoating, sealing cracks and minor and major damage. The painting was cleaned, retouched and varnished. The conservation was carried out by: painter-conservator Milica Mirić and the work manager painter-conservator Dragana Jelić.
